Argoed HallGracious Holiday Living

Argoed Hall: is a grade 2 listed Victorian mansion house built in the 1800’s that has been painstaking refurbished and converted to 4 modern townhouses by the present owners.
Argoed Hall is located just outside Llangollen in the village of Froncysyllte and whilst enjoying a secluded position it is but minutes walk from the World Heritage Site with the historic canal network and Brunel’s famous aqueduct some 50 m above the River Dee, village pubs, and post office.
Access to the historical town of Chester (with its famous racecourse) Llangollen (5 minutes) and Snowdonia are easily reached via A roads.
Many of the original Victorian features have been retained: such as feature fireplaces, stairs, oak and mosaic tiled flooring, ornate plasterwork, panelling and carved stonework. The owners have incorporated modern luxury living into the grace and charm of the original building to bring Argoed Hall into the five star 21st century.
Argoed Hall overlooks the river Dee and the views carry down the valley to Dinas Castle. History records that many dignitaries such as later day prime ministers have enjoyed Argoed Hall many attracted by the salmon fishing on the river.

Argoed Hall Access to Argoed Hall is via electronically operated gates that open onto the sweeping drive that takes you to Argoed Hall.
The grounds that spread over some 3 acres have also been designated of historical importance and have been listed by CADW. Many of the Victorian features of that era have been retained including fauna, exotic trees and a wonderful summerhouse with its intricate tiled flooring and terracotta roof.
The grounds consist of lawns, sunken gardens, massive fir and beach trees and woodland.
Each wing of Argoed Hall has been converted into an individual townhouse in such proportion as to retain the overall grandeur of the building. Each room having views over the grounds or over the river down the valley.
